TOEIC® TESTS MARSEILLE

The World Trade Center Marseille Provence Language Center is one of the first approved public centers for the TOEIC® Listening and Reading. and the first approved center for the TOEIC® Speaking and Writing test in the Bouches-du-Rhône department of France.

Objectives of the TOEIC® tests

The TOEIC® (Test Of English for International Communication)is a method to accurately assess the proficiency of non-English-speaking applicants in oral and written comprehension and grammar for professional English.

Taken by more than 5 million people around the world and used by 14,000 companies and entities, the TOEIC® is an internationally recognized certification in the business world which is essential for joining a study abroad program, advancing your professional career, or landing a job in certain business sectors (such as tourism, hospitality, and exports).

The TOEIC® provides real value in terms of employability and is eligible to be funded by the CPF (personal training account).

TOEIC® Listening et Reading Test

The TOEIC® Listening and Reading test assesses the test-taker’s oral and written comprehension of English in a professional setting. It takes the form of a multiple-choice test in 2 parts:

  • • TOEIC® Listening (oral comprehension)
    • 100 questions
    • Duration: 45 minutes.
    • Test administered using a paper and pencil.
    • Exercises: Listen to brief conversations and answer spoken questions about the dialogues.
    • Score: 5 to 495 pts
    • Validity: 2 years
  • TOEIC® Reading (written comprehension)
    • 100 questions.
    • Duration: 75 minutes.
    • Test administered using a paper and pencil.
    • Exercises: Fill in the missing words in sentences. Read texts (from newspaper articles, magazines, etc.) and answer questions about them.
    • Score: 5 to 495 pts.
    • Validity: 2 years.

TOEIC® Speaking and Writing Test

The TOEIC® Speaking and Writing test certifies proficiency in oral and written expression in a professional setting.
These are 2 distinct assessments that can be taken separately or together.

  • Le TOEIC® Speaking (oral expression)
    • 11 questions
    • Duration: 20 minutes
    • Computerized test
    • Exercises: Reading texts, describing images, expressing opinions. This tests assesses pronunciation, intonation, vocabulary, and grammar.
    • Score: 0 to 200 pts
    • Validity: 2 years
  • Le TOEIC® Writing (written expression)
    • 8 questions
    • Duration: 60 minutes
    • Computerized test
    • Exercises: Writing a 300-word essay and other short pieces. This test assesses vocabulary, grammar, structure, and coherency of ideas.
    • Score: 0 to 200 pts
    • Validity : 2 years
