08/06/2018 - MARSEILLE: DEVELOPMENT OF THE BLUE ECONOMY
After the call for proposals launched by the” Grand Port Maritime de Marseille” (GPMM), discussions are going on with the future development of quai de lave.
Indeed, long unexploited, the quai de Lave is deteriorating little by little. A large pile of glass and plastic bottles are lying on the floor. It is at the initiative of residents who dream of walks and access to water that the discussions were animated.
The owners of the port would like to develop the blue economy by promoting the tertiary sector, industries and activities maritimo-port, but also by setting up areas of scientific activities and robotics surface and underwater.
From the Espace Mistral to the port of Corbières, this quay in the northern sector arouses all desires.
The call for expression of interest ended on May 31, 2018. The GPMM will decide in the coming weeks between the different projects. Industrialists, estaquiens gathered in the Committee of Interest of Quarter but also any other entrepreneur, any sectors combined, likely to revive the economic performances of the district will be fixed in the next months.
